My role is assessment and strategy, not construction. While I don’t perform the renovations myself, I provide you with a comprehensive written report detailing every recommendation. This serves as a precise roadmap that you can hand directly to a contractor or handyman to ensure the work is done right.
Safe In Your Place operates as a cash-based, non-medical consulting service and does not provide medical treatment or bill insurance or Medicare. Payment is due at the time of service via cash, check, Zelle, or Venmo. You will receive a detailed receipt for your personal records upon payment. This is an investment in your safety and health.

What is the cost of this in-depth assessment?

In-Person Home Assessment
$350 for One Resident
$450 for Two Residents
A comprehensive, approximately 90-minute assessment of you navigating your home followed by a personalized digital report with safety recommendations and product links to discuss with your installer, as well as wellness and fall risk considerations to discuss with your medical provider and follow-up support.
Virtual Home Assessment:
$200 for One Resident
$250 for Two Residents
A convenient alternative for out-of-area families, adult children, or patients who prefer a virtual experience. The assessment is completed through a guided video walkthrough and provides the same personalized recommendations and digital report as the in-person service, without the in-home visit
Every Assessment Includes:
Pre-Visit Comprehensive Review: An initial consultation to understand your medical history, current functional goals, and specific mobility needs and living situation.
On-Site/Virtual Expert Assessment: A thorough Home Safety and Wellness Assessment analyzing entryways, lighting, pathways, and high-risk areas like bathrooms through both a structural and clinical lens.
Customized Home Modification Plan: A detailed, prioritized report featuring marked up photos, specific structural and equipment recommendations, product links, and lifestyle suggestions.
Follow-Up Consultation Call: A dedicated phone review to walk through the report together, answer questions, and ensure you feel completely confident moving forward.
My ultimate goal is to provide the precise care, time, and skillful insight needed to ensure you can enjoy your home safely for many years to come.
Is this service considered Physical Therapy?
No. While my extensive background as a licensed Physical Therapist and my Executive Certification in Home Modification allow me to view your home through a uniquely clinical lens, this is a non-medical consulting service.
The focus is strictly on environmental wellness, home safety, and functional recommendations to help you navigate your space safely. Because this is consulting rather than medical treatment, we do not provide physical therapy rehabilitation, and these services are not billable to insurance or Medicare.
